Zayn Rayyan’s mother taken to the scene of murder for investigation


KUALA LUMPUR: The case of the autistic child Zayn Rayyan Abdul Matiin 6, who was found dead six months ago, was highlighted again when the police took his mother to the family’s house at Apartment Idaman, Damansara Damai and to the location for the purpose of re-enacting the situation at the scene on Monday.

According to Bernama, the victim’s mother was believed to have been taken by a van to the house in Block R at 10.15am and went out at 12.20 noon today.

It was also believed that the woman involved was taken again to the apartment and the location where the child was found near a stream located 200 meters from the block where the family lives.

The media also reported that police officers were seen carrying the mannequin of a child, but it was not clear what was the purpose for.

The investigation into the murder of the autistic boy Zayn Rayyan at the residential place was concluded around 2pm.

Meanwhile, the vehicle carrying the Federal Criminal Investigation Department director Datuk Seri Mohd Shuhaily Mohd Zain was seen leaving the residential area followed by the vehicle of his deputy, Deputy Commissioner Fadil Marsus. Minutes later all vehicles carrying the investigation team and the police forensics unit left the scene.

On Friday the police extended the remand of Zayn Rayyan’s parents to allow assist investigations.

Selangor police chief, Datuk Hussein Omar Khan said the couple would be remanded for six days until June 13. The magistrate’s court in Petaling Jaya had granted the remand of Zayn Rayyan’s parents.

The couple both 28 years old were remanded for investigations under Section 302 of the Penal Code after they were arrested at Puncak Alam on May 31.

Zayn Rayyan’s dead body was found in a stream near Idaman Apartment in Damansara Damai by a group of residents about 200m from his residential block after he was reported missing.
