YPC International College implements strict precautionary measure against COVID-19

Kuala Lumpur – YPC International College has started this morning implementing strict precautionary measures against COVID-19 for the safety of its students and staff.

“Following global and local developments on novel coronavirus COVID-19 and as part of our ongoing efforts to ensure the safety and well-being of staffs, students and the wider communities, we will be implementing temperature scanning for all students, staff, and visitors entering our campus, effective from Monday, 16th March 2020,” said YPC Head of Academic Department in a statement today.

If a student or staff was found to be having a fever (i.e. > 38 °C), he or she would be advised to seek immediate medical attention, wear a mask, stay home and avoid public gatherings.

Malaysia reported 190 new coronavirus cases yesterday (on Sunday), bringing the total number of infections in the country to 428, the health ministry said.

Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said on Friday that “the country is facing a “second wave” of infections and warned people to avoid events and gatherings.
