SHAH ALAM: Xenergi Sdn. Bhd is the first Malaysian company appointed as the sole distributor of EG Cool Double Cooling System for the Middle East countries following a contract agreement signed with Eslia (M) Sdn. Bhd, the country`s manufacturer of the air-conditioning system.

With the agreement, Xenergi will market and appoint distributors in Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.

The signing of the agreement between the Product Principal, Eslia’s Managing Director Tham Weng Kong and Xenergi’s Managing Director Ir. Mohd. Fadzil Dato’ Ahmad Shah was held at Kelab Shah Alam on October 11,2019.

The event was witnessed by Matrade and Ministry of Entrepreneurship representatives and other dignitaries.

Ir. Mohd. Fadzil said, the six Gulf markets are relatively new to air conditioning solutions and the collaboration would enable the group to make inroads into the markets.

“Xenergi intends to penetrate into both the private and public sector with target sales of USD1million for the first fiscal year in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and steadily increasing by appointing local distributors in each of the GCC countries. Our target is to get a sales volume of USD5 million per year in three years,” said Ir.Mohd. Fadzil in his speech before the agreement was signed.

According to Ir. Mohd. Fadzil, who  worked in the Middle East for many years, it is not easy to penetrate into the Middle-East markets but he affirms that when the people have trust in the product then the rest will come along well.

Recently Xenergi has set up an office in Bahrain to serve the Gulf Countries. The company is now building its capacity to reach other GCC markets beginning with Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

“We hope to get our targeted clients in the food chain business with many outlets and hope to sell 1,000 units in the first year,” he added.

He said, Xenergi is also the distributor of the product in Malaysia and finds that the competition is very minimal in the Middle East markets.

Xenergi will provide technical services to the clients besides giving training in the installation of the cooling system.

Regarding the appointment of Xenergi as the sole distributor of EG Cool Double Cooling System in the Middle East, Eslia’s Managing Director Mr. Tham Weng Kong said, the company was chosen for its involvement in the green technology since a long time ago.

“Ir.Mohd. Fadzil’s long experience in the energy saving business in the Middle-East has also helped Xenergi to be appointed as the sole distributor of the product,” he reiterated.

Weng Kong expects the collaboration will help boost its presence in the six Middle East markets inexorably besides aiming at a sustainable market growth in the upcoming years.

Weng Kong also mentioned their target to reach a revenue of USD25 million per year with Xenergi contributing about 20% of total sales for the year 2020-

Meanwhile, Xenergi, Head of Strategic Marketing, Dr. Aidid Rajib said, energy saving devices are not widely recognized in the Gulf countries previously but there are signs of consumers beginning to use such products as their concern to increase energy efficiency and environmental preservation demand grows especially in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Bahrain.

“Following the awareness in environmental issues the government of Saudi Arabia has recently initiated programmes to reduce energy consumption.

“In Bahrain, electricity tariff has almost doubled within the last few years and given extreme climate conditions, good demand of the product is expected for business to grow. Simple payback can be obtained in less than 18 months in most cases, and the good energy saving returns is expected to be the driver for growth and sales,” said Dr. Aidid.

Xenergi intends to market the product through Energy Services Companies (ESCOs) and AC Service companies by leveraging on Xenergi’s expertise in the sector.

Meanwhile Xenergi, an ESCO startup in 2018, has been present in the sustainability sector in Malaysia and Middle East- the area of Energy Efficiency, Renewable Energy and Green Building Solutions.

Fadzil was previously the CEO of KFM Energy Sdn. Bhd, a subsidiary of KFM Holdings Sdn. Bhd, acquired by UEM Edgenta Berhad in 2016. His experience in the Middle East spans over 10 years in the areas of project management and energy services.

EG Cool® Double Cooling System is a high performing condenser coil, specially designed to connect to an existing outdoor air conditioning unit between the conventional condenser and capillary as an extra condenser invented and patented by Ikura San in Japan.

It functions by increasing the cooling effect of the hot refrigerant gas exiting the compressor through efficient heat dissipation travelling between the existing condenser and the capillary. With the increased cooling performance, the compressor will work less thus saving on energy, being quieter and at the same time prolonging the life span of the compressor.

EG Cool Double Cooling System has been successful in emerging markets like Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia. Xenergi will be the first Malaysian company to introduce it to the Middle East Markets. – Malysia World News (MWN).
