
KUALA LUMPUR: A woman and her five-year-old daughter, who were both undergoing quarantine after having been infected with coronavirus, fell to their death from a 18th floor apartment at a building in Taman Tenaga Salak Selatan here on Saturday.
Police, who rushed to the scene of the incident after being notified by the public at about 6pm, said her husband was also a covid positive and he is being treated in hospital.
Cheras deputy police chief Supt Annas Sulaiman said the 38-year-old woman and her daughter were believed to have jumped off the building.
Annas said paramedics who arrived at the scene too have found injuries on the head of the victims.
He added, preliminary findings showed no foul play in the deaths. The case is classified as sudden death but investigations will continue to be carried out.
