A woman, 21, allegedly stole RM8,200 from her step aunt’s ATM card to buy an iPhone was charged at the Magistrate’s Court in Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday and pleaded not guilty.
Police arrested Nur Humaira Shanuk Haziki, 21, in Pandan Perdana last week at a premises in Pandan Perdana around 12.25 midnight after the victim made a complain on a Facebook post saying that her ATM card was stolen.
Humaira faces a maximum 5 years jail if found guilty.
The case was being investigated in accordance with Section 4(1) of the Computer Crime Act 1997. She believed her money was stolen after she realised only RM500 was left in her bank account.
