KUALA LUMPUR: Umno supreme council member Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said has today raised a question on why the Prime Minister till now did not change the attorney general (AG) and appoint “his own person” to be the AG, as all leaders in the world do.
“If the power to change the AG is in the hands of the prime minister, why didn’t he change the AG when this was under his jurisdiction?
“I just want to ask this, why can’t the AG be changed?.
“I’ve been an Umno division leader for more than 20 years. Of course, the division secretary is my own man, and so is the information chief because I appointed them,” she said in her speech at the Umno special briefing on Saturday.
The audience responded to her question with loud cheering and applause.
