Sultan Ibrahim donates RM5mil to hospitals in Johor to help them cope with the rising number of Covid-19 cases

JOHOR BARU: Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar has donated RM5mil to hospitals in the state to help them cope with the rising number of Covid-19 cases.

His Majesty said we have to be together in handling the Covid-19 pandemic and not only depend on the government.

“I hope the private sector can come forward and give out financial assistance and medical equipment to the hospitals.

“Donations can be channelled to the Yayasan Raja Zarith Sofiah Negeri Johor (YRZSNJ) for medical equipment and the Yayasan Sultan Ibrahim Johor (YSIJ) to buy food for the needy,” said Sultan Ibrahim in a statement on his official Facebook page here yesterday.

His Majesty took kibd initiative to contribute money to tge state hospitals to buy the equipments they need, as there has been an increase in both the number of infections and patients being treated at government hospitals.

Cash donations are very important to ensure that hospitals in the state continue to be supplied with various medical equipment for the treatment of Covid-19 patients, his Majesty added.
