KUALA LUMPUR: Preacher Ebit Lew was summoned to Bukit Aman yesterday (August 19) to record his statement over allegation of sexual harassment.
He was questioned by the police for about an hour to assist with investigations into what he described as “slanderous” and “cruel” allegations made against him, according to the Star.
Today the Police confirmed they have conducted a search at the residence of celebrity preacher, Ustaz Ebit Lew.
Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department director Datuk Seri Abd Jalil Hassan was quoted by Bernama as saying the search was conducted yesterday after the police recorded his statement.
“It is a normal process to complete investigation of the case,” he said when contacted today.
The case is investigated under Section 509 of the Penal Code, Section 14 of the Minor Offences Act and Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act.
