US government bans Russian volka imports and sale

US government has today banned the Russian volka and ordered all wine stores to stop selling it, in a move to punish Russia and further sanction it for its invasion of Ukraine.

According to reports, Russian vodkas account for about $18.5m of the $1.4bn vodka import market in the US.

Russian-made vodkas is the best-selling in the US, especially its famous brands such as Green Mark and Russian Standa.

US. and Canada have made a similar decision on Friday, removing all Russian-made products from its 679 stores, according to The Guardian.

“Russia’s ruthless attack on a sovereign nation is an egregious violation of human rights,” Spencer Cox, the Utah governor, said in an announcement of the state boycott on Sunday.

USA stands in solidarity with Ukraine and decided to ban all Russian products and enterprises, no matter how small the exchange.”
