SERI ISKANDAR: Universiti Teknologi Petronas (UTP) has been ranked one of the top 100 private universities in the world, according to the global university rankings.
This made it the youngest university to be recognised by the QS Top 50 Under 50 World University Ranking 2018.
“UTP’s performance also shines through in the QS World University Rankings 2018 as UTP rose 80 spots from the ranks of between 521 and 530 last year,” NST quoted him saying at 18th UTP convocation today.
UTP was also ranked 99 in the QS Asia University Ranking this year, making it the only private university in Malaysia to have made it to top 100.
This year, a total of 1,659 UTP students completed bachelor’s degree (1,375), master’s degree (133) and doctorate (151), reports said.
