PETALING JAYA: UMNO Youth chief Datuk Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki today proposed that UMNO Deputy President Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan should be made Finance Minister.
He said, this is because Mohamad Hasan used to `wrestling ‘with the people and understand their pulse.
“Finance Minister should to be elected among those who are used to working with the people and understanding their pulse.
“I hope that the proposal to the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob for appointing Mohamad as Finance Minister in the new Cabinet be considered,” he said in a post on his Facebook today.
On Saturday, Ismail Sabri was sworn as the ninth Prime Minister before the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah at the Istana Negara.
Ismail Sabri appointed as Prime Minister after Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin resigned from the post following the withdrawal of support from some UMNO MPs.
