LONDON, Nov 28 — Mandatory mask-wearing will return to England on Tuesday, Health Secretary Sajid Javid announced.

Britain’s government vowed to take this compulsory safety measure seriously in response to the new Omicron strain of Covid-19.

However, Sajid Javid said Christmas celebrations would be “as normal”, despite the new rules to combat the Omicron variant.

Britain’s government has also instructed all travellers arriving in Britain to take a PCR test for Covid-19, and self-isolate until they register negative.

Meanwile, Prime Minister Boris Johnson said on Saturday tougher measures will be taken agaist the spread of the new Covid-19 variant.

Boris government controversially dropped the masks mandate in July for England, and also kept borders open to foreign travellers despite of criticism.

Now UK banned travel to and from South Africa and many other countries over fear of the Omicron
