Two thieves causing fear in town arrested at a hotel in Jalan Pudu

KUALA LUMPUR: Two men aged 31 and 40 were arrested at a hotel in Jalan Pudu at about 2am today (Nov 24).

Police said the suspects have criminal records including for drug related offences. It s believed that they have a connection with a snatch theft at a pharmacy along Jalan Gombak-Setapak.

The video of a snatch theft at a pharmacy went viral on social media and WhatsApp.

Wangsa Maju OCPD Supt Rajab Ahad Ismail said the suspects were involved in various robberies and vehicle thefts in Setapak and Sentul.

“We also seized the clothing used in the heist. The jewellery that was stolen has been sold to a third party and we are in the midst of tracking the suspect down.

“The car used in the theft was reported stolen in Cyberjaya.

“The suspects will be remanded for further investigation,” Supt Rajab told The Star when contacted later Tuesday.
