PUTRAJAYA: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim appreciates the support from President Turkiye, Recep Tayyib Erdogan who will pray for the victory of the Unity Government PH-BN in the state elections (PRN) in six states on 12th August 2023.
Anwar said, he told Erdogan that the Unity Government will go through the state elections with victory and will continue to be strong in implementing the people’s trust and develop the country, Insya Allah.
Anwar said that when Erdogan asked him about the state elections and the Unity Government’s position in a zoom session held earlier.
In the zoom session, Anwar has invited the Turkiye President to come to Malaysia to discuss on strengthening the bi-lateral relations between the two countries.
“In the discussion, we have raised the needs to form a movement to address the Islamophobia issue at the international level.
“We have also agreed to meet at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York next month to discuss further on that issue.
“I have also informed Erdogan on the efforts of Malaysia to contribute one million copies of Al-Quran to the world including 15,000 copies translated in Swedish language as one of the ways to address the “shallow understandings” of the Western countries on Islam,” Anwar said.
In another development Anwar in his speech said, Penang will be an example for being the most developed state in the country and its courageous people to bring changes by winning the state election on 12th August 2023.
To end his “Jelajah Perpaduan MADANI Pulau Pinang” at Dataran Guar Perahu, Permatang Pauh last night, Anwar said, he saluted the extraordinary spirit of the Permatang Pauh people in facing the state election this time.
“The sad episode that happened to the parliamentary seat in the last general election should be forgotten and let us build again the new strength together with the people.
“The people of Permatang Pauh and its surrounding areas should change and give the mandate to PH-BN to continue the good efforts for the people.
“Believe me… only the unity coalition truly understands and serious towards every problem that is facing the people in the country.
Together we strengthen the determination and support the Unity Government,” the prime minister reiterated. – Malaysia World News
