
The cases have been identified in the East Midlands, East of England, London, North East, North West, South East, South West, and West Midlands.
16 more new cases were identified in Scotland on Friday.
Welsh government said, the case was linked to international travel.
According to The Independent, the first omicron coronavirus case was confirmed on Friday in Wales. However, Dr Jenny Harries, chief executive of UKHSA, said most of the cases detected have no links to travel, suggesting that the UK has “a small amount of community transmission.”
