PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang claimed that there is a conspiracy to topple Perikatan Nasional so that to block all efforts for Malaysia to return to Islam.

PAS president also claims that the strength of the Perikatan government is a problem for those  who do not want to see Muslims united in the country.

“The governance of the Perikatan Nasional government which has shown positive changes will be challenged, because the dominance of Muslims and the non-extreme group is feared to be able to solve many problems that will unite the Muslims,” he said in a statement today.

As such, Hadi urges all Malaysian Muslims to be aware and realise this.

“Don’t be fooled anymore and instead stop the rotten elements which are conspiring to eliminate Islam in this country.

“There is already a movement to topple the Perikatan government by any means necessary,” he added.

Hadi`s statement comes as the political situation in the country is unstable, with many Opposition MPs are pressuring Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin to resign as Prime Minister.

PAS on Thursday (July 29) had announced the party will continue to support the current Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and also urged all parties to remain united.
