KUALA LUMPUR MAR.1: The government is serious in taking actions against anybody who has been involved with corruption as many cases are still pending in the courts.
Prime Minister Ismail Sabri said, whether the case is involving the opposition or the government, action will be taken on whoever is involved in corrupt practices.
“Where corruption is concerned, the government is not protecting anybody.
Whoever is responsible will be charged in the court and the court will decide whether that person is guilty or otherwise,” Ismail said in Dewan Rakyat today.
Ismail said that in responding to the Opposition Leader, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim who is also the Member of Parliament for Port Dickson on the current Malaysian Corruption Index.
The Prime Minister added, it is not true that some people perceived that the government today protects certain individual and take action on others just to satisfy certain people.
“We do not know the situation before whether there was a selected prosecution or not but today there is no selected prosecution on anybody. That is the government’s promise,” Ismail reiterated.-Malaysia World News
