“The current education system is bad,” says PM Mahathir

SINGAPORE: Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad today admits that the current education system is insufficient and  the curriculum needs to change.

“We need to change the curriculum and timetable of what they learn in school,” Dr Mahathir said when questioned on Malaysia’s education system at a high tea in Singapore today.

The Prime Minister also said that he has been recently discussing the matter with  Education Minister Maszlee Malik and planning to overhaul the school curriculum.

Both Dr mahathir and Maszlee have recently visited Japan and got fascinated by Japan education system.
