KUALA TERENGGANU – The 15th Terengganu State Legislative Assembly (DUN) session that started here today without the presence of the Opposition block has created a history of its own.
This situation arises following the Perikatan Nasional’s (PN) victory winning all the state assembly seats in the state elections last August.
According to news agency report, the Terengganu State Legislative Assembly started with the Opening Ceremony of the First Term of 15th DUN session that witnessed Sultan Terengganu Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin had consented to grace the opening ceremony.
Also present includes the Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Dr. Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar , DUN Terengganu Speaker, Mohd. Nor Hamzah and Deputy Speaker, Khazan Che Mat.
Meanwhile, in the Terengganu state election that convened on 12th Aug.2023 the Pas and Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) for the first time had won all the 32 seats contested. This victory subsequently has seen there is no opposition representative in the DUN for this term.
