PETALING JAYA: Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Parliament and Law), Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan was reported to have been admitted to hospital hospital in the Klang Valley, the IHEAL Medical Center, last Friday.
According to Utusan Malaysia, he was hospitalized due to heart health problems and he had to undergo surgery for three hours.
“Datuk Seri Takiyuddin underwent an angiogram yesterday for 3 hours because there were three places that were blocked.
“However, the situation is stable and it is believed to come out tomorrow,” he said.
Last week, Takiyuddin was reported to have announced he wanted to resign as the Law and Parliament Minister after being pressured by the opposition over the issue of the repeal of the Emergency Ordinance which was explained on the first day of the Special Session of the Dewan Rakyat.
However, the Pas leaders advised him to discuss the matter with the Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin before taking any decision.
On 26 July, Takiyuddin told Dewan Rakyat that the government had decided to revoke all Emergency Ordinances and advised the Yang di-Pertuan Agong not to continue the Proclamation of Emergency which would end on August 1.
He added that the government also decided all ordinances that had been made during the Proclamation of Emergency period were revoked, based on Article 150 (3) of the Federal Constitution.
