PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Tajuddin Abdul Rahman has been terminated from his post as Prasarana Malaysia Bhd chairman effective immediately, according to the Finance Ministry.
In a letter circulated on social media today (May 26), Finance Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz informed Tajuddin of the termination and thanked him for all his contributions since he was appointed non-executive chairman.
An officer from the Finance Ministry contacted by the Star had confirmed the authenticity of the letter.
The termination came after netizens criticized him and called for his resignation for the way he addressed the issue of the Monday two-train collision, in yesterday press conference, on the LRT Kelana Jaya line at KLCC that injured over 200 passengers, including six in critical condition.
