Pasir Salak MP Tajuddin Abdul Rahman has been appointed as Malaysia’s ambassador to Indonesia.

The Umno leader, 74, has confirmed this via a text message to Malaysiakini.

“It’s true,” he said in a message to the news portal.

It was also reported that the vocal politician will travel to Jakarta later this month to begin his duties as Malaysia’s ambassador to Indonesia.

Reports said, Tajuddin’s appointment has received approval from the Indonesian government and he will replace diplomat Zainal Abidin Bakar who was appointed in 2018 under the then Pakatan Harapan administration.
