
GEMAS – His Majesty Seri Paduka Baginda Yang di-Pertuan Agong XV, Sultan Muhammad V has expressed his happiness and appreciated the Malaysian Army (Tentera Darat) for the undivided loyalty to him, the royal institution and the sovereignty of the country.
Sultan Muhammad V said, the invasion of Lahad Datu in 2013 was an incident which will never be forgotten by all Malaysians.
In the incident he said, the Malaysian Army had successfully implemented their duties and responsibilities to defend the sovereignty of the country.
“The success to stop and destroy this threat was a proof that the legacy left behind by the Malaysian Army was continued and remained in the hearts of the Malaysian Army until today. Well done and congratulations!,” said Sultan Muhammad V on his first visit to the Malaysian Army at Syed Sirajuddin Camp, Gemas, Negeri Sembilan recently.
His Majesty is the Kolonel-In-Chief of the Royal Artillery Regiment.
Also present at the prestigious military parade held at the 51 Royal Artillery Regiment’s Marching Field were the Menteri Besar (Chief Minister) of Negeri Sembilan, Datuk Seri Utama Mohamad Hasan, Chief of Malaysian Armed Forces, General Tan Sri Raja Mohamed Affandi Raja Mohamed Noor, Chief of Malaysian Army, Datuk Seri Zulkiple Kassim and other high ranking military officials.
Amongst those involved in the parade were 34 military officers and 370 staff from several ranks in the Malaysian Army. The parade was also participated by two detachments from 10 Brigade (Para); two detachments from Government Headquarters Army Training and Doctrine (Malaysian Army); two detachments from Royal Malay Regiment; two detachments from Royal Armoured Corps and two detachments from Royal Artillery Regiment.
Sultan Muhammad V also reminded the Malaysian Army not to be overjoyed with that success. The current unpredictable situation at the regional level and internationally has influenced the national security landscape.
“This situation demands the Malaysian Army to be prepared and ever ready to confront various dimensions of threats and challenges in ensuring the sovereignty of the country is secured.
“As such I urge the Malaysian Army to implement the military training with serious and attentive efforts. With the implementation of effective trainings consistently, the Malaysian Army will be able to confront any kind of threats in future,” he reiterated.
His Majesty also reminded that the leadership’s loyalty to the staff below and the staff obedience’s to the commander is to be instilled at all levels in the Malaysian Army.
“The solidarity will avoid divisions to occur and to ensure success and good work can be achieved together.
“I hope the Malaysian Army will maintain the present unity in line with the slogan “One Malaysian Army Because Of Unity,” he added. –Malaysia World News
