KUALA LUMPUR: Several roads around the capital city have been flooded today, following long hours of raining.
Among the flooded areas are: Jalan Segambut, Jalan Kuching, Jalan Pudu, Jalan Ampang, Jalan Genting Klang, Jalan Sungai Besi, Jalan Tun Razak and Jalan Tuanku Abdul Halim.
Many cars and trucks got stuck on the roads as the flood came during rush hours in the evening when people going back home early for Iftar (buka puasa).
In a statement on Twitter, Kuala Lumpur City Hall Transportation Management Centre (ITIS) said the floods began about 3pm and there had been heavy rain around the city centre. Some locations were inundated. It is flooding in the city centre.
“Be careful when driving as the road is slippery,” he said.
