Security and Senior Minister, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yakob said, the permission is based on the standard operating procedure (SOP) including the attendance of 250 participants depending on the capacity of the space allocated.

Ismail said, a social distancing of one meter from each other, downloading MySejahtera apps and scanning of QR code when registering should be made by all participants at the events.

However, he said, no buffet during the event is allowed instead participants should be provided with packed food to avoid crowd and congestion.

“The organizations of events are only allowed in green zones and not in areas where Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) has been enforced.

“Patients under investigation (PUI) and person under surveillance (PUS) related to COVID-19 are not allowed to attend the events,” he said at the press conference held here today.

In another development, the Special Ministers’Meeting on the Implementation of the MCO had studied and agreed to allow the request from various ministries and agencies to implement and conduct face-to-face interviews.

Ismail highlighted that the Civil Service Commission (CSM) has prepared its SOP related to the process of face to face interviews and it has been checked by the Ministry of Health, National Security Council (NSC), and the Prime Minister’s Department for approval.

“The SOP and the process to conduct a face-face interview that has been approved could be used as a reference by ministries and agencies,” he added. –Malaysia World News
