PETALING JAYA: Educational institutions in Johor and Terengganu will re-open in stages from Nov 7 as the states are shifting to Phase Four of the National Recovery Plan (NRP) from Monday (Oct 25).

Education Ministry in a statement said that the operation of educational institutions under the ministry would be implemented after two weeks from the date of the transition.

“However, public schools in those states will only start their operations on Nov 8 (Monday) as Nov 7 is an additional holiday allocated in the ministry’s calendar in conjunction with the Deepavali festival.

“Lessons for Level Two (standard four, five and six) of primary school students, including transition classes, Form One and Two of secondary schools will begin on Nov 14 in accordance with the NRP regulations.

“However, private educational institutions registered under the ministry would operate according to their respective calendars,” the ministry added.
