Rumy Alqahtani shares her photos on Instagram

Saudi Arabia will be participating in Miss Universe pageant this year— for the first time in history. The global event is set to take place in Mexico on September 18.

Rumy Alqahtani, 27, a model and influencer with one million followers on Instagram, announced on Monday that she will be representing the kingdom in the world’s most popular pageant.

“I am honoured to participate in the Miss Universe 2024 competition. This is the debut of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the competition,” she wrote on her Instagram.

She also shared photos of her wearing a strapless, sequined gown, a tiara, and a sash, while holding the flag of Saudi.

Alqahtani has joined many global pageants before, with the latest one being Miss and Mrs Global Asian in Malaysia a few weeks ago.
