All the luxury bags, pink diamond, jewellery, the RM2.6 billion, and the millions of dollars for Riza’s movies were donated to Najib Razak and his family by the Arab Princes and Kings.
Malaysia former Prime Minister Najib, in a viral interview with Aljazeera yesterday, said that the Crown Prince of United Arab Emirates (UAE) Mohammed Zayed was the funder for his stepson Riza Aziz’s movie studio Red Granite.
“Crown prince Mohammed Zayed told him in my presence that he was going to invest in his movies. We assumed that whatever investment that is going to come from Abu Dhabi to fund it would be a loan.
“And my stepson was prepared to pay back every single cent that was given to him as a loan because it was a loan and he was prepared to pay back,” he told Al Jazeera.
Speaking to Al Jazeera’s 101 East in an exclusive interview on Friday (Oct 26), he also said that the Pink diamond, which is linked to the 1MDB probe, was a gift from UAE Prince Sheikh Mansour Zayed to his wife Rosmah Mansor, adding she did not receive it.
Najib said Sheikh Mansour was a “close associate” of Jho Low.
“It’s a matter of dispute what happened to the pink diamond. So let’s not jump to conclusions,” he added.
According to the US Department of Justice (DOJ), the pink diamond was bought by Jho Low using 1MDB money and the RM2.6 billion channeled to Najib `s bank account in year 2011-2013 was from 1MDB.
Najib insists that the RM2.6 billion was a donation from Saudi Arabia King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and not from 1MDB funds.
Last night, once again, he posted several bank documents on his Facebook including what he claims to be receipts of RM2.6 billion ringgit he received from Saudi Royal between 2011 and 2013.
The jewelry items worth millions of dollars, which were sized by the police from Najib`s house few month ago, were also purportedly given to Rosmah Mansor by a Dubai-based jeweler.
The police’s Anti-Money Laundering Investigation Force yesterday (Oct 26) questioned Rosmah Mansor and her two sons, Norashman and Riza Aziz, for three-and-a-half hours and took their statements in relation to the seized items and jewellery.
