Rosmah Mansor has never requested or bought any US$23 million pink diamond necklace as the New York jewellery seller alleged, her legal counsels said today.
Her legal counsels said in a statement she has no knowledge of any receipt or invoice shown to the jury in the ongoing trial of former Goldman Sachs Group Inc banker Roger Ng in the United States.
According to news reports, the jeweler told New York court that Jho Low had contacted Schwartz in June 2013 and asked her to create a pink diamond necklace with a heart-shaped gem at its centre for Rosmah.
She also produced an invoice as an evidence that the necklace was bought by Rosmah.
Rosmah Mansor and her husband, former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak, denied the allegation and insisted that they only knew about the jewellery that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) prince, Sheikh Mansour Zayed gave to Rosmah as a gift.
