RMAF’s A400M aircraft delivered 20 tonnes of basic food to 13,800 families in Labuan imposed with EMCO

SUBANG JUNE 24: The Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) has mobilised the A400M aircraft from No.22 Squadron that carries 20 tonnes of basic daily food to the Federal Territory of Labuan that has been imposed with the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) since 15th June 2021.

RMAF in its statement said, the assistance mission implemented by RMAF is a joint effort between the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development and the Social Welfare Department of Labuan.

“The food supplies will be delivered to13, 8000 families involving eight localities that have been identified as COVID-19 high risk,” the statement said.

The staffs of RMAF from the Movement Branch, Subang Air Base along with the cabin crew of the A400M have started to load boxes of food into the aircraft as early as 7.00am today.

The loading of the food boxes into the aircraft was witnessed by the Minister of Women, Family and Community Development, Datuk Seri Rina Harun, the Ministry’s Chief Secretary Dr. Maziah Che Yusoff, Deputy Head of MPOU Staff, Brig. General Datuk Othman Ahmad TUDM and Implementation Officer PU Subang, Colonel Mohammad Jaffri Suboh TUDM who has assisted and briefed the guests on the air mission operation.

The RMAF flight today was the fourth involving the supply of food aids to Labuan since the imposition of EMCO. The aircraft also carried along COVID-19 medical equipments from the Ministry of Health (MOH) and the Flight Medical Institute (IPP) and equipments for the Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) Field Hospital. –Malaysia World News
