RMAF will form Investigation Council to identify the cause of the death of two persons in a training session

KUALA LUMPUR: A trainer from the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) was killed  while performing the shooting support weapon and “thrown bomb” while a student of the Defence Assistance Class 1 (KPP Kis 1) 78/23 Series was also killed on 25th June 2023.

RMAF in a statement said,  the incident that happened at the Basic Grenade Training Area, Shooting Range Syed Sirajuddin Camp, Gemas Negeri Sembilan had killed the two air force armies as confirmed by the medical officer at Segamat Hospital, Johor.

The RMAF student was confirmed dead at 5.45pm while the other trainer was under strict doctor’s monitoring and his situation was reported as stable.

The statement added, the air force personnel involved includes Mohd. Iqmal Masdi, 22, from Lenggeng, Negeri Sembilan was a student for KPP Class 1 78/23 Series at the Administration Studies and Management Institute (INSTAR) Sendayan Air Base. He was confirmed dead at the place of incident.

Meanwhile Air Force Corperal Syuib Bidin,33, was a trainer at INSTAR was confirmed dead while under treatment following serious injuries he suffered.

Air Force Corperal Khairuzaman Lokman, 35, from Kluang, Johor, is a trainer at INSTAR and now undergoing treatment at Segamat Hospital and under strict medical monitoring while his situation is stable as reported.

On another development, RMAF hopes no party will spread any speculation and not authentic news until the investigation process conducted by the Royal Police Malaysia (RPM) is completed. – Malaysia World News
