KUALA LUMPUR NOV.23: – Colonel Hasnol Hisham Abu Hassan from the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) who passed away at the St. Joseph Medical Center Tacoma Hospital, Seattle, United States of America (USA) on 21st November 2021 at 2.58pm (Malaysian time) will be buried on 24th Nov. at the Islamic Cemetery Covington, Washington.
RMAF in its statement said, the decision for the burial of Hasnol in Washington is made by his wife Rohani Tahir and family who are currently in Seattle after discussion and taking into account the management of the body following Islamic procedures.
The statement added, Colonel Hasnol Hisham, Training Director at the Head Office of Air Force Human Resources Division (Latih) was in Seattle to attend the “Airman to Airman Talks” (A2ATs) at the Murray Camp Seattle, Washington from 14 until 19th Nov. 2021.
“On 16th Nov. Hasnol Hisham suddenly went unconscious and he was rushed to the St. Joseph Medical Center, Tacoma Hospital, Seattle for treatment and operation due to “acute type of aortic dissection.”
“However, Hasnol Hisham had his last breadth at the hospital with his wife beside him. The management of the remains will be implemented at the “House of Mercy” by the Muslims headed by Captain Ayub S. Laari who is the “Imam” of the special prayers,” the statement added.
The RMAF statement also stressed that the Washington Air National Guard through Brigadier General Gent Welsh has offered respect for the Full Military Honors Burial Ceremony for the late Hasnol Hisham while the burial coordinating procedures will be monitored by RMAF officers who are currently in Seattle.
The Malaysian Defence Advisor in USA, Brigadier General Mohd. Fadzil Mohd. Diah of RMAF has coordinated and discussed with the Washington Air National Guard for the burial management that will be conducted following the procedures that is suitable and reasonable.
“The burial ceremony will be broadcasted via “live streaming” that is coordinated by Washington Air National Guard on 24th Nov.
