Rina Harun urges Federal Government to introduce a stimulus package for the low-income women to help with the rising cost of living

SHAH ALAM: Wanita Perikatan Nasional (PN) urged the Federal Government to prepare a new action plan to address the current rising cost of living as majority of the Malaysians are in difficulty due to the increase in prices of various essential goods.

PN Wanita Chief and also Minister of Women, Family and Community Development, Datuk Seri Rina Harun said, the number of Malaysians applying for assistance via the ministry has also increased over the past few months.

“Wanita PN also urges the Federal Government to introduce a stimulus package especially for the low-income women. Taking it as a serious issue, it will be brought up at the “Wanita Bangkit Roundtable” discussion session next week in Shah Alam,” she said.

Rina said that at the PN Women’s Retreat Programme held at Glenmarie Hotel & Golf Resort here today.

The retreat programme was attended by 140 leaders from several party components in the coalition. Among the issues discussed include peoples’ problems and preparations of the PN Women’s Wing to face the 15th General Election (GE-15) which is expected to take place in the near future.

Rina also reminded the Federal Government not to entertain some politicians’ request to hold the general election as soon as possible around this time. – Malaysia World News
