Qatar urges the FIFA officials to stop selling beers and allowing people to drink at the World Cup stadium.

The New York Times reported, the pressure to ban beers was made by the brother of Qatar’s ruler just two days before the tournament kicks off.

According to Daily Mail, Budweiser – one of the tournament’s largest sponsors – will be unable to sell its beer to fans at the World Cup games.

The official FIFA Fan Festival is scheduled to open on Saturday with a gig headlined by Colombian pop star Maluma.
