Pyongyang: Pyongyang’s KCNA agency warned America that it is a ‘tragedy that the reckless and hysteric behaviours may reduce the U.S. mainland to ashes any moment,’ said a report this morning.

Defiant Pyongyang threatened a missile attack on Guam, a small US territory in the Pacific that is home to major US air and naval facilities.

The statement said that it was the country’s ‘steadfast will…to put an end to the hostile moves of the U.S. which has imposed misfortunes and sufferings upon the Korean people for over half a century and win the final victory in the stand-off with imperialism and the U.S.’

This statement came after the US President Donald Trump threatened North Korea with `fire and fury` if it continued to threaten the US with its missile and nuclear programmes.

This morning, thousands of North Korea top military officers have marched in front of the capital’s Fatherland Liberation War Victory monument, supporting their leader Kim Jong-un`s move against the ‘reckless and hysteric’ US.

Meanwhile, a Chinese state-run newspaper said that Beijing would “stay neutral” if North Korea strikes first in a conflict with the United States.

However it added: “If the US and South Korea carry out strikes and try to overthrow the North Korean regime and change the political pattern of the Korean peninsula, China will prevent them from doing so.”

Secretary of Defense, James Mattis said on Thursday that a potential nuclear war “would be catastrophic, if North Korea attacks Guam with ICBMs.
