KUALA LUMPUR: PAS Vice-President, Datuk Seri Dr.Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar advises political leaders not to utilise political campaigns to threaten instead mobilise a healthy and matured ways to ensure racial harmony could be maintained.

Ahmad Samsuri who is also the Menteri Besar of Terengganu hopes the people would not be taken in easily by political campaign containing elements of threat that makes the non-Malays afraid of PAS.

“The latest development in the state elections’ campaigns had witnessed several leaders from Pakatan Harapan (PH) had started their campaigns with elements of threats and fear that had downgraded the people’s intellectuality and not in line with Madani.

“Minister of Youth and Sports, Hannah Yeoh in the presence of the non-Malays has said if the Selangor Menteri Besar is to be changed to the PAS candidate and get rid of PH in the election, then it is an action of punishing oneself and the grand children in Selangor. The speech is uncalled for and is threatening the racial harmony in Malaysia,” Ahmad Sanusi said in a statement.

The PAS leader added, such campaign had once again repeated the unhealthy political campaign that was done by Lim Guan Eng who said if the green wave wins then the temples will be demolished.

He said, this old political culture has to be stopped. Under the administration of PAS in Terengganu, the racial relationship has been guarded harmoniously; welfare of the people is taken care of regardless of religion, race and colour of party that is guaranteed without any form of discrimination.

“The rights of the people has been guaranteed by the Constitution and is demanded in Islam,” he reiterated. –Malaysia World News
