Police to call PAS President Hadi for his speech during the by-election campaign in Johor

KUALA LUMPUR: PAS President Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang will be called by the police relating to his speech at the Simpang Jeram, Johor by-election campaign on Saturday.

Bukit Aman, Criminal Investigation Department Director, Datuk Seri Mohd. Shuhaily Mohd. Zain said, the police had contacted Abdul Hadi to fix a suitable time for his statement to be recorded.

“The PAS president in his speech at the PAS Headquarters, Bakri, Muar area in Johor last Saturday was detected to have 3R elements (religion, race and royal institution).

“In the speech Abdul Hadi had touched on the issue questioning the power of the Board of Pardons that has connection with the Royal institution,” Mohd. Shuhaily said in a press conference as reported by Sinar Harian.

He added, the community however, did not make any speculation and humiliated the warm by-election campaign in that area.

Mohd. Shuhaily stressed that the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Tan Sri Razarudin Husain had reminded all parties not to touch on 3R within the campaign period.

On Monday, the media had reported that Abdul Hadi was prepared to cooperate fully with Bukit Aman.

Political Secretary, Syahir Sulaiman said, he had been contacted by Bukit Aman on Monday morning to give statement.

Meanwhile, Abdul Hadi is confident with the Royal Police Malaysia (RPM) and the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) in carrying out their work and investigation. –Malaysia World
