Stern action against any party committed criminal offences, including those who lodge false and defamatory police reports, says Home Minister Hamzah Zainudin regarding the
‘Durian RM30′ offers’ allegations.
According to reports, the police have been instructed to conduct a detailed investigation into allegations by Pakatan Harapan MPs who said they received bribes messages via WhatsApp.
MACC was also instructed to investigate the matter to determine the validity of the allegations.
“The Home Ministry will ensure that stern action without compromise will be taken against any party proven to have committed criminal offences, including those who lodge false and defamatory police reports,” he said in a statement today, as quoted by Bernama.
Some MPs from DAP have recently alleged that they were offered bribes such as money ( RM30 durian, which they said it was referring to RM30 million) and positions to support the Perikatan Nasional (PN) government.
