KUALA LUMPUR: The Supreme Council Meeting of Perikatan Nasional (PN) had rejected the application of Parti Pejuang Tanah Air (PEJUANG) to join the coalition, 20th March 2023.
PEJUANG was founded by the former prime minister, Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad and led by Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir as the president of the party.
The Supreme Council Meeting was chaired by the PN’s Chairman, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and also present was PAS President, Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang, Gerakan President, Senator Datuk Dr. Dominic Lau and representatives of the parties in the coalition.
“The PN Supreme Council has also decided to retain the use of PN’s logo in the State General Elections in Kedah, Selangor, Pulau Pinang and Negeri Sembilan while PAS logo will be used in Kelantan and Terengganu.
“The Supreme Council has also directed the state election machineries in the six states to strengthen their preparations and readiness at the highest levels,” PN’s Secretary General, Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin said in a statement here today.
Hamzah added, PN had also appointed Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md. Nor as PN’s Chief Director of the General Elections while Datuk Seri Dr. Ronald Kiandee as the Chairman of PN Relations for Sabah and Datuk Dr. Mohd. Radzi Jidin as the Chairman of PN Relations of the Federal Territory.
“PN has also appointed Muhamad Siddiq Mohd Azni and Muhd Khidir Izaidin as Executive Assistant Secretaries of PN,” Hamzah said. –Malaysia World News
