PM Najib: We want Sarawak to move forward

Sarawak: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak expressed today his willingness to help further develop Sarawak through effective plans and strategies.

 

The Federal Government has a master plan for the continued development of Sarawak, said Najib Tun Razak, local media reported.

 

“We want Sarawak to move forward as it has great potential for development,” he said when launching the construction of the Marudi Bridge, at the Marudi Square here Thursday.

 

With that in mind, Najib said, he has visited the Land of the Hornbills about 60 times and provided many additional allocations and more than 161 programmes during the past nine years as the prime minister.

 

“I have provided additional allocations to the state on each visit,” he said, adding he was informed that he has approved a total sum of RM4.3bil.”

 

The Prime Minister also said that the Marudi Bridge will cost RM84mil and would benefit about 27,000 people.
