PM Muhyiddin stands without the mandate of the rakyat, say Tun Mahathir and Anwar Ibrahim

“It ( the current government) stands without the mandate of the rakyat.

“It did not officially (obtain the people’s mandate) as per the ballot papers in the general election.

“It was founded based solely on the greed for position and ranks. Moreover, none of the leaders of today’s government have promised to serve the people.

“We are unwilling to surrender our morals and ethics to support the government of today.

“We do not want to betray the rakyat who voted (for Pakatan Harapan) ,” said Dr Mahathir and Anwar in the statement which was issued on the occasion of Pakatan Harapan’s May 9 anniversary that marks their victory in the 14th General Election in 2018.
