PM Ismail visits Singapore tomorrow and scheduled to launch the VTL between the two countries

PUTRAJAYA NOV.28: The Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob will undertake his first official visit to the Republic of Singapore on 29th November 2021.

The Foreign Affairs Ministry said, Prime Minister Ismail will be accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs, Datuk Saifuddin Abdullah, Chief Minister of Johor, Datuk Hasni Mohammad and officials from the relevant ministries and agencies.

“The visit is at the invitation of Prime Minister of Singapore, Lee Hsien Loong and also in conjunction with the commencement of the air and land Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) between Malaysia and Singapore.

“The Prime Minister is scheduled to call on President of Republic of Singapore, Halimah Yacob and hold a meeting with his counterpart, Lee Hsien Loong,” the Ministry said in a statement here today.

The statement added, the leaders will discuss Malaysia-Singapore bilateral cooperation, including new opportunities for effective recovery from the impacts of the unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic.

“Both Prime Ministers will also be exchanging views on regional and international issues of mutual concern. The visit will be conducted in full compliance with the strict health and safety protocols put in place by the Governments of Singapore and Malaysia,” the statement said. –Malaysia World News
