PM Ismail instructed further investigations on former AG Tommy Thomas on probability of misconduct

PUTRAJAYA: The special team investigating on the allegations of former Attorney General, Tan Sri Tommy Thomas in his book : “My Story: Justice in the Wilderness” had categorised the important issues detected into four namely allegation on the judiciary, revelation of information and government’s secrets, illegal actions, abuse of power and professional negligence and seditious statements.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said, the Special Investigation Team had presented the report of their investigations that was prepared in nine months effective December 2021 until August 2022 in the Cabinet Ministers’ Meeting today.

Ismail said, the investigation team has presented several proposals for the government to consider aimed at follow up action that is advisable to take it up.

“With regards to that, I have instructed the related enforcement agency to immediately investigate further on the probability of misconduct done by Tan Sri Tommy Thomas.

“Investigations will be carried out among others under i) Section 124 (1) and Section 203A Penal Code ii) Section 4 Seditious Act 1948; iii) Section 8 Official Secrets Act 1972 and iv) Section 23 Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission 2009,” Ismail said in a statement. –Malaysia World News
