BANGI: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim hopes the roles of the youths and the way they think will help Malaysia to remain prominent as one of the exemplary nations in the world.
Anwar said it is the philosophy of Malaysia MADANI not to be tied to the old thinking and obsessed with it.
“We recognize the fact that the youths will determine the future of Malaysia and hence I guarantee for any programme that is rebranded, the young people will have to decide themselves and further discussions will be taken up to the government level.
“The Unity Government chooses different approach not like the usual old people advising or “lecturing” when confronting youths’ problems.”
Anwar said that in his Facebook post in conjunction with the launching of ‘ Rakan Muda’ (rebranded) programne at the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Sunday.
The Tambun Member of Parliament added, in the same event, he has announced that students from the higher learning institutions aged 18-20 or full time student can register to receive RM200 credit for the eBelia Rahmah starting 8am Monday.
“I have high hopes on the young people and the youths from different races and religions to continue instilling good values as an effort and ability to lead the country to reach a higher level in the future,” Anwar said.
