PETALING JAYA: Several PKR Youth Leaders are calling for a vote of no-confidence against their president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim which may lead to his ousting.

“The president ( Anwar) is only focused on his personal agenda, drumming to the world that he is the designated 8th Prime Minister.

“We propose a vote of no-confidence against Anwar, ” the group said in a statement released today.

The youth leaders expressed angry and disappointment with Anwar for his attempts to sack PKR members, including PKR deputy president Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali, who do not support him.

Azmin wants Dr Mahathir to rule as prime minister for full term (5years) and does not support the transition of power in two years.

The group called on all leaders to push a motion of no-confidence against Anwar for allegedly undermining the reformation agenda.

“Initially, there were attempts to force the deputy president (Azmin) and vice-president Zuraida Kamaruddin to resign.

“The disciplinary board took extreme action by sacking senior MPP leader Zakaria Abdul Hamid only on suspicion of graft.

“Then the elected permanent Youth chairman and his deputy were unceremoniously sacked using unacceptable excuse of age limit although they were within the eligible age limit during the wing elections last year,” The Star quoted the group saying in the statement.

Actually PKR youth leaders are worried that the public may lose confidence in the party for the growing tension inside it and the diversion from its real path which is reformasi.
