The  most interesting promise in  Pakatan Harapan`s manifesto launched yesterday is its pledge to limit the tenure of Prime Minister and his Chief Ministers, said the  Geostrategist Dr.Azmi Hassan.

But the only reason why these promises are highlighted is part of Pakatan strategy to put a bad light on the current Prime Minister, and to portray him as too powerful to abuse power, he added.

“That’s the reason why Pakatan Harapan (PH) proposed to curtail PM taking over Finance Minister job so as to put the guilt on the current PM over to so called economic woes faced by the people.

“It is the primary strategy of PH to put the blame on Najib on all matters the country and people are facing and the manifesto are very clear on this strategy,” Azmi told Malaysia World News.

The manifesto launched by Pakatan chairman Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and Pakatan president Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail yesterday night promises  to limit the tenures of the Prime Minister  and Chief Ministers to two terms only, and to restructure the Prime Minister’s Department  and Cabinet.

The manifesto said the prime minister will also not be allowed to hold other positions such as the Finance Ministry.

Moreover, Pakatan manifesto said, the number of ministers in the Prime Minister’s Department will be reduced.
