ALOR SETAR — Pakatan Harapan-Barisan Nasional (PH-BN) coalition is confident of winning 16 seats in the State Legislative Assembly (DUN) and needs only 3 more seats to get a simple majority and form a new state government.
Kedah PH chairman, Datuk Mahfuz Omar said by winning the 19 seats, PH-BN will be able to present the new Menteri Besar candidate to the Sultan of Kedah, Sultan Sallahuddin Badlishah.
“I am still confident that 16 seats are already within our grasp, we only want to chase three more seats, I am fully confident that the three seats have been achieved so far.
“I can’t say where the three seats are, that’s a secret and we don’t want to disturb because the margin of the three seats is small,” he said in a press conference at Bangunan Tunku here yesterday.
