Petition launched to stop Ismail Sabri from becoming Prime Minister

PETALING JAYA: A petition launched on to reject Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob as the ninth Prime Minister of Malaysia has gathered more than 230,000 people over the last 24 hours.

The petition claims that the Deputy Prime Minister was “negligent” in dealing with the covid-19 outbreak, causing a massive infection.

“Many inaccurate comments prove that he is just a liar and a political comedian,” the petition wrote.

The UMNO vice -president managed to get 114 MPs support, enabling him to be appointed as the ninth Prime Minister.

A total of 114 MPs comprising Barisan Nasional (BN), Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu), Pas and Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) faced the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah in five sessions , today.
