CYBERJAYA:- The launching of PEMANGKIN Digital AgTech that welcomes cross collaborations towards the development of Digital AgTech Analytics (DATA) platform is an initiative that empowers farmers and agribusinesses nationwide with cutting-edge technology of real-time insights on productivity and predictive analytics which would address the national food security.
Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) in its statement said the Ministry of Communications and Digital Malaysia (KKD) through MDEC that had announced the PEMANGKIN DATA platform is aligned with the Malaysia Digital (MD) promoted sector.
The statement added the platform is equipped with an array of features from precision farming to crop health monitoring, weather forecasting, market insights, resource management, and farm performance analytics, all at the fingertips.
“Through this innovative approach, it enables farmers to make informed decisions and improve productivity while minimizing their environmental footprint.
“The PEMANGKIN DATA platform is expected to generate productivity insights from more than 500 new deployed Digital AgTech projects and over 60,000 trained farmers across the nation,” the statement said.
According to MDEC, the launching event also witnessed a significant milestone with the exchange of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with key ecosystem partners, namely Lembaga Pertubuhan Peladang (LPP), Department of Agriculture (DOA), University Putra Malaysia (UPM), and Agrobank.
The statement added these exchanges will further solidify collaborations and pave the way for joint initiatives to accelerate the digital transformation.
