KUALA LUMPUR: The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) and Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM) are now using sophisticated drones to watch out and monitor those who defy the `stay-home` order. The drone can also give siren and advice in English, Chinese, Tamil and Malay languages.
The drones widely utilised over areas around Klang Valley and other red zone Covid-19 outbreak areas are meant to control public movement during the Movement Control Order (MCO) which has been enforced by the government until April 14.
AS Covid-19 positive cases in Malaysia rose to 2,320 and 26 deaths as of noon yesterday, the authorities have started to use all measures and actions to contain the spread of this phenomenon.
Still many people defying the order, Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, at a special press conference yesterday, warned more comprehensive, stricter measures are expected to be announced soon today or tomorrow.
According to reports almost 400 individuals were arrested for defying MCO these last two days. – Malaysia World News
